In 2008 I will be participating in the Eisenhower Multinational Fellowship Programme on behalf of the European Commission. I will in the US for two months, travelling all over the place, talking to policy-makers, industrialists, university professors, journalists and many other people about issues relating to science and technology. This blog is for me to write about the meetings I have, to provide some feedback to my colleagues back in the European Commission, or anyone else who is interested in comparing the EU and US in the field of science and technology. Departure date looms – only three weeks to go!
