The value of blocking

I have spent quite a bit of time this weekend blocking my knitting. For those that don’t know, this is the process of wetting your knitting so that you can get the edges straight, the stitches even and make sure it is the dimensions you need for making up. Its one of those things that when you start knitting, you think you can bypass, but as you get more experienced, you realise you will make better items if you take the time to do it properly. I might get round to doing tension squares next…
