Fancy a free dog coat?

You may know that I have two beautiful doggies. Although we are in Australia, it gets pretty cool in the winter and we have found that they sometimes need a little coat to keep them warm, especially at night.

Roxy, as half whippet, half border-collie, is deeper-chested that most dogs, but stockier than most whippets. Most of the dog patterns I have tried don’t seem to recognise the many different ways that dogs differ in shape. Having S/M/L/XL sizes just doesn’t cut it.

So I’ve designed my own. I’ve designed it to be adaptable to every dog, based on some specific measurements. Now I just need to test it with a range of pooches.

This is where you come in! I’m offering to knit your dog a free coat, in exchange for some feedback on how it fits. If you’re up for it, hit the button below and it will take you through to a sign up form.

I can’t promise to knit for everyone that applies, and will make a selection based on a variety of sizes and types of dogs.

I can promise that I won’t share your information with anyone else and will only contact you about this dog coat project, nothing else.

I do need to limit this to people in or near Melbourne for logistical reasons.

If after all that, it sounds like something you’d be up for, please apply via the button below!
